An escaped ram smashed the windows of a patio door after going in a help garden and “searching to war its own reflection”.
Quentin Rayner mentioned he chanced on the Shetland ram “chewing on pot plants” at his house in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
In the starting up he plan the honest would be frost or vandals and became once “vexed” when he spotted the curly-fleeced culprit.
Police mentioned the animal had since been returned to its – presumably sheepish – proprietor.
Mr Rayner, a BBC reporter, mentioned he became once confronted with the harm after opening his curtains on Wednesday morning.
“To suppose I became once vexed would be an underestimation,” he added.
“The ram became once correct lying there within the garden, chewing away on the pot plants.
“I remark he ought to have seen his reflection within the doorways and decided to have a war.
“I rang the insurance firm and told them, ‘You too can hear this loads – nonetheless you are never going to remark this’.”
He mentioned he had since contented insurers he became once no longer searching to drag the wool over their eyes.
